Knowing your exact business shirt size will make it a lot easier when it comes to buying shirts online. All you need is a measuring tape, good posture and the rest is pretty easy.  Always make sure the tape lays flat, and that you maintain a good natural position.  There’s no need to add a few centimeters to make yourself feel bigger and better…

There are a number of styles and cuts of business shirts on the market these days which can make things confusing. It all depends on your budget and making sure you know what your style you are wanting to buy. All shirts are made to different patterns and styles however if you buy from a reputable manufacturer, they usually have a level of consistency with their sizing ie if you a bought a size 42 business shirt today and it fits well, a 42 from the same manufacturer next month should fit just as well (providing no beer gut blowouts). When buying online it’s recommended to check out some of the key measurements and whether the shirt is fitted (i.e. more of a slim fit) or a classic and traditional box style cut. Attached are some the important measurements to be aware of.

All Amalfi Shirts are slim fit and provide measurements for neck, chest and sleeve under the sizes and care section of the website so you can made an informed decision on what size is right for you. Fear not, reputable retailers should have a no questions asked 100% satisfaction guarantee and will be happy to exchange any shirt purchased over for a different size, pattern, or offer a full refund.

  • Neck: The easiest way is to find a business shirt that fits you well, and measure the collar. Lay the collar flat, starting at behind the button, measure the length to the center of the button hole.
  • Chest: With your arms at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest and under arms.
  • Sleeve Length: With your arms relaxed at your side and slightly bent, measure from the center back of your neck, over the point of your shoulder, and down the outside of your arm to your wrist.
  • Note: Don’t panic. If you’re not satisfied with the fit of your Amalfi Shirt, we’ll happily exchange your shirt for another size.
